Washed the truck, going to strap a couple gopro s on it set to timelapse and drive around during the “golden hour”. We’ll see if that results in any good photos.
Any angles that people think would be good to capture on gopro?
I wish I had a better camera (or at least, knew how to take photos with my DSLR that looked good). A better background would have been good.

Use aperture priority mode on your dslr, open the aperture up and focus on the ram head, You’ll get a blurred background and the camera will take care of exposing properly. Depending on your lenses depth of field wide open parts of the ram may be out of focus too, if that’s the case close the aperture by 1 stop and try again.

I love the Ram hood ornament. So detailed.
I’m having some slight difficulty ordering motorcycle gear online. Somehow an XL jacket i s skin-tight around my arms, so trying an XXL. It’s a euro brand, but still. I’ve got one of their t-shirts in M and it fits great...
The pants I used to use back in high-school that were Kevlar-infused, mesh-lined, had good pads, looked great and were under $100 are now discontinued. The closest alternative is $350!
Boots and helmet are on the way, fingers crossed they fit right.
I’d do this all in person but after calling the local Kawasaki place, the guy on the phone hung up on me in the middle of a conversation. The guy at a triumph dealership took down my name and number and said someone in parts would call back to let me know if they have what I want in stock. No call three days later. Local speed shop was incredibly unhelpful and the guy I talked to clearly didn’t know anything. Oddly enough Ducati and BMW have been the only groups that aren't absolutely miserable to deal with, but BMW requires Seattle traffic, and Ducati only carries the absolute priciest riding gear...

Put the gopro on the bed rail furthest back (at the tailgate), facing forward or slightly outboard.

Great. The annual Raft the Rio event was today, so the very finest $4.88 pool toy tube was obtained from Walmart to float with some friends. It was my usual set up of cheap tube with a floating, soft-sided cooler of beer dummy corded to it floating along with me. We started about an hour after the official event, and found a sand bar to stop at along for an hour or so towards the end to ensure all beer was consumed.
It was a fun way to spend 3-4 hours on the Rio Grande, which generally is only wet through Southern NM during irrigation season. We'll probably float it again this year, but at night. Night floating is more fun, and it doesn't involve lobster impressions for us pale folks. Despite the usual sunscreen and hat precautions, I've had my sun exposure for the weekend.
